Selling or Letting Privately
I already have an Estate Agent, can I still sell privately?
Yes, and if you sell your property through Click2move you will not have to pay your Estate Agent any commission as you sold your own property.
A "Sole Agency" contract means that the Estate Agent you appoint is the only Estate Agent with the right to sell your property. YOU are not an Estate Agent, therefore if YOU sell your own property you do not have to pay them commission. Click2move are a marketing company and not Estate Agents, you advertise your property with us and buyers contact you directly, so by definition you are selling your own property. Please Contact Us if you have any questions or concerns about selling or letting privately alongside an Estate or Letting Agent.

What if my contract says "Sole Selling Rights"?
It is important to check the contract with your Estate Agent. Although not common, some Estate Agents still specify "Sole selling rights" in their contract with you. This means that even if you sold your own property, the Estate agent could still claim the commission. This probably contravenes consumer legislation regarding unfair practises and contract terms. However, if you still want to sell privately it is probably best to wait until the "Sole selling rights" contractual period is over. Please Contact Us if you have any questions or concerns about selling or letting privately alongside an Estate or Letting Agent.

Do I have to use an Estate Agent by law?
No. There is no law requiring you to sell or let your property through an Estate Agent. There is also no reason why you can not sell or let your property privately.

Do I have to pay commission to sell my property?
If you choose to sell your property using Click2move there is no commission. So regardless of the value of your property, you will pay just one fee.

Should I inform my Estate Agent if I sell privately?
We believe that being up front with your Estate Agent is the best policy. They should not have an issue with you selling privately and if anything it will spur them on to find you a buyer. If the eventual buyer was at some stage introduced to you by the Estate Agent we would strongly recommend the Estate Agents commission is honoured, to do otherwise would be unfair on the Estate Agent who has in good faith made the sale.

What does multi-listing mean?
This means that as well as listing your property on Click2move, we will also list your property on other carefully selected property internet sites.
This maximises the number of serious buyers or renters that could view your property listing, therefore increasing your chances of a successful sale or let.

What property sites do you partner with?
Our current multi-listing partner sites include fish4homes, MSN, Sky, NTL, and Telewest. These are under constant review and new partners are being added all the time. See the current full list.

Can I purchase a 'for sale' or 'to let' board?
Yes, the board is a professional Agent standard board that will greatly enhance the marketing of your property.

Why should I erect a board?
When selling or letting, you want to market your property to as many buyers or renters as possible. A board is a powerful marketing tool that should not be ignored, especially when selling or letting privately.
Many buyers will drive or walk around an area they are interested in. A board outside your property will attract the interest of buyers, often leading onto enquiries and viewings. The board will also tell a buyer how they can contact the seller.
